I'm Vimla Anjana Dindoyal, an art and design teacher in Mauritius. But im also a fervent art lover and occasionally the artist inside of me wakes up and springs out to express her thoughts and emotions through paintings or drawings.

Normally most of my work are oil painted canvases but I also experiment with other mediums such as ink, pastels, acrylic, silk paints, charcoal and other mixed medias. Besides paintings, I also use collage and assemblage, print-making , stencilling and screen printing expressing on different surfaces and digital art as well, as far as they help me to vector my ideas into visuals.

My privileged theme is and will certainly always be "woman" (female nudes), although sometimes I sneak into other skin and paint whatever touches or moves me deep inside.

In my picture gallery you will find my early artworks ( 1997-2007), and new artwork ( 2008-2010 )where i dipped my finger into different techniques and style,just to have an idea of how they tasted. I must admit, I find it hard to stick to one flavour, so Im doomed to keep on searching and experimenting...
